Secret Weapon Thursdays

TRACK:
N.O.R.E. ~ Nothin' (Radio Mix)

IN ONE SENTENCE:
NORE's club anthem, minus the cusses.

BUT... WHY?
Some people would argue that Pharrell's relentless use of the N-word in the chorus is what makes the track so hood/real/proper/tru/poppin/blazin/exhilirating, but sometimes I want to play "Nothin" out in a roomful of white people and feel like the irony is a little too palpable, so I'll put on this edited version instead.

I always considered playing clean versions in a night club to be a DJ faux pas. It doesn't really matter to me about the curses or explicit content. If I'm going out to a party and paying for my liquor, I feel I deserve to hear all the profanity that can be dished out to me.
If a client requests no cursing then that's another story.

u had to always buy the U.S. 12"s in order to have the hot song of the week.. the only companies that were on point in terms of service were Rocafella and Universal.. other promos would always be serviced like two to four weeks after local stores the U.S. retail singles..

so unlike alot of NY/U.S. deejays, I always played the dirty versions.. ha, I did that on radio too!!!
